I am so excited to share with you one of my favorite Salmon recipes today.  As you may notice, we love Salmon in our home.  Mainly because of all the great health benefits it offers. However, not all salmon is created equal.  Alaska salmon is wild caught and never farmed so, it’s more beneficial to your body.
Wild-caught Alaska salmon includes five species that can be found at the seafood counter or in the freezer section.  These include king, sockeye, coho, keta and pink. All Alaska salmon is natural, sustainable and of the highest quality.
Alaska’s waters are home to some of the world’s highest quality seafood, including nearly 60% of the seafood and more than 90% of the wild salmon harvested in the U.S. When you request  Alaska seafood and include Alaska seafood in recipes, you know you are using some of the best seafood in the world.
This is the only type of salmon that I use when cooking for my family.  Cooking with Alaska salmon is easy, healthy and delicious. Alaska salmon is sold fresh and frozen throughout the year and is super easy to find in your local grocery store or market.
I picked some up from the freezer section of our grocery store and it tasted incredibly fresh when I prepared it.
I mainly prepare Alaska salmon for dinner and hope to have leftovers for lunch.  Let’s be real though, left overs are very rare living with 4 guys that eat an insane amount.
I honestly love jerk seasoning on pretty much anything.  Seafood just takes it up a notch.  This recipe is easy to make and will be ready in less than 20 minutes.  My kind of meal. You can buy a pre-made jerk seasoning or throw together your own with some simple ingredients.

Here is a simple and delicious jerk seasoning recipe:
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 onion powder
2 tsp dried thyme
2 tsp dried parsley
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp crushed pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Amazingly, these are all seasonings I always keep in my house so throwing together my own is easy and convenient.  Also, my kids love to help with preparing it.  They can measure out the ingredients and mix them together in small bowl.
I know you and your family will enjoy this recipe.  I love seafood recipes that are full of flavor but, don’t eliminate the fresh flavor of what is being cooked.  That is this recipe.
