I love to cook.  It’s one of my favorite things to do when I have my husband watching the kids or I have a relaxing day.  However, my normal days I am usually starting dinner before he is home and trying to multi task.

After I pick up my two older boys from school, I help them with homework, we chat about school, play a bit, and start dinner.  After dinner, we finish up any homework, clean up the house, have some family/devotion time and start bedtime routines.  There are nights that I run the kids to basketball practice, school events or youth group at church so , I stay on the run.

It all tends to feel like a whirlwind with dinner time prep and cooking takes a lot of my time.  I am usually trying to cook while multitasking in some other way.  I love taking a night off throughout the week and on weekends, and I don’t like to spend a lot of money on takeout. It’s so important to take some time off and not think about dinner.

A great alternative to help with my busy schedule has been On-Cor entrées.  I can spend my time helping the kids with their homework, playing a game or doing a fun family activity instead of hovering over the stove. Life’s demanding enough. Dinner shouldn’t be. On-Cor does the prep work, so you can take care of other to-do’s that need to-doing.  On-Cor is just a freezer away for an always easy, always satisfying and always ready solution for “one of those nights.”

On-Cor

Keep your On-Cor entrée as is, or put a personalized spin on your favorite meal, such as turning the Gravy & Salisbury Steaks into sliders, or adding chicken to the flavorful Macaroni & Cheese.

For your next family meal, head to the freezer aisle of Giant Food Stores or check out the store locator at www.on-cor.com to pick up one of On-Cor’s entrées.

This past week, we enjoyed some time playing with Slime and while our On-Cor Lasagna was cooking in the oven.

I easily paired this with a salad and garlic bread and it’s a perfect meal. The Macaroni & Cheese entrée now uses 100 percent real cheese, and the “Selects” Lasagna with Meat Sauce uses real mozzarella cheese.  All entrées have no monosodium glutamate (MSG) added.  For additional information about the entrée’s, visit www.On-Cor.com.

The frozen, fully-cooked are conveniently packaged and ready to heat and serve. From hearty entrées to microwave favorites, convenience has never tasted so delicious. No frills, no fancy. My favorite food for a night off is pizza. On-Cor makes a barbecued pork riblet that we use use to make homemade McRib sandwiches. Not only are they a fraction of the cost of the McDonalds variety, but the sauce they have is good enough to drink!!

A dinner that allows for more time with family? Sounds like a plan to me! For a night off, my daughter and I love heating up a can of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup. Gotta love a comforting classic like that 🙂

We order pizza when time is short and we know my son will definitely eat it.

People like to rag on freezer meals but they are my specialty! I am not a good cook at all so being able to have something good like these meals is a MUST for when I burn dinner or just make something completely inedible (both of which happen often)
