This summer we had such an amazing time on our vacation to Rehobeth Beach, DE.  We went with some of our close friends from church and rented an amazing beach house for the week.  It had more than enough room and was just beautiful!

Summer 2017

Getting ready to head on vacation can always be a little overwhelming for me.  My “To-Do” list seems never ending, but once I’m in the car it’s totally worth it.  My lists usually range from everything I need to pack, to getting the car serviced before we get on the road.

Firestone Complete Auto Care has everything you need to ensure safety before hitting the road.  Whether you need brakes, oil changes or tires, they’ve got you covered.

Once we get on the road, snacks & road trip games tend to keep everyone happy.  Any road trip over a 2 hours usually involves nap time, which is my favorite part! Ha.

Family Travel

The one thing I loved about the family we traveled with is that we were both pretty laid back about our itineraries.  All we cared about was relaxing at the beach, enjoying the pool and eating good food.

Most of our days, consisted of heading to the beach for half of the day.  The nice part about getting a house only a few miles away is that you don’t feel bad not staying the whole day.  Also, we both had toddlers so nap/rest time was usually a “must.”

We also had a pool & playground in our community so we spent a lot of time there.  Our toddler loved using his floaties, and my older boys loved playing basketball and then being able to just jump right into the pool.

Another priority on our trip was to go to Fun Land, which is a fun little theme park on the boardwalk.  The kids enjoyed the rides and finishing our night with some yummy ice cream.

Another highlight was that 2 of my good friends brought their families up to meet us at the beach for a few days as well.  There was 10 kids between all of us so, that called for a lot of beach play and kid-friendly restaurants.  We went to this restaurant that had this amazing waiting are where kids could play on a playground & a variety of games, as well as relax on some hammocks.

Most importantly, we ate a lot of good food.  Checked out a ton of reviews and had everything from great pizza, delicious baked goods and some amazing seafood.

We finished off our trip with a couples date night out at this beautiful restaurant and brewery.  It was definitely a trip that we will never forget and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

What a fun and beautiful trip! I have to say my favorite part of travel was/is still nap time. If I’m in the car for more than 20 minutes there is something about the motion of the car that even puts me to sleep! A fun way to end the summer!

This trip looked like so much fun. Our last road trip was to New Hampshire and we had a ball. Having a little kid free time while on vacation is always a plus. And making sure my car is serviced and ready for the road is so important.
