I am in a stage of life where I value fresh, clean ingredients.  I try to feed my family pretty healthy and provide meal and snack items that will help and not harm our bodies.
I absolutely love Alaska salmon.  Alaska salmon is wild. Wild-caught Alaska salmon includes five species  including king, sockeye, coho, keta and pink. All Alaska salmon is natural, and of the highest quality.  You can find these at the seafood counter or freezer section of your local grocery store.
If you don’t know much about Alaska salmon, here is a quick rundown:
Alaska’s cold pristine waters are home to some of the world’s highest quality seafood, including nearly 60% of the seafood and more than 90% of the wild salmon harvested in the U.S. So, when you cook with it you know you are getting some of the best and highest quality food.  You can seriously taste the difference.
I know that cooking with it is a great healthy option for my family.  It just happens to also be incredibly delicious.  Alaska seafood is sold fresh and frozen year round for a wide range of seafood possibilities any time of the year. I easily found this at a variety of local grocery stores.  It was easily accessible in the frozen section as well as over the counter so you should have no issues at all.
I love how fresh tasking this salmon is.  I love to share easy and simple recipes that anyone can throw together in 20 minutes or less. This is definitely a great recipe where you still can enjoy the natural flavor of the Alaska salmon.

Brown sugar-glazed salmon might be my favorite recipe.  First, it only takes a few ingredients. Second, it is impossible to mess up.  Lastly, it takes less than 20 minutes.  It is a perfect combination of sweet and salty and a great meal to throw together on a busy weeknight.
I paired it with rice and salad, but it is easy to serve next to just about anything.
Wild Alaska Salmon Day is August 10th so I will be making this recipe to celebrate! Also, make sure you #AskforAlaska next time you shop or head to a restaurant!
