I love to try new recipes that are easy to throw together on a week day. In this new year, I am really focusing on eating healthier food that benefit my body, and salmon has so many benefits.

Alaska seafood is harvested in season by proud fishermen that come from families that have been fishermen for generations.
Now that you know this information, you may want to make sure that this is what you are eating when you are in a restaurant as well. All you have to do is “#AskForAlaska.” Ask for Alaska at the seafood counter, dining hall or local restaurant, and look for “Alaska” on frozen and canned seafood packaging as well as menus.
Once I learned all of this information about where my food is coming through, I made a point to make sure that I read the labels when I’m at the grocery store. I want my family to have the best food possible that will benefit their bodies, and asking for Alaska is a way that I do that. The Dietary Guidelines of America suggests that the average American should consume 8 oz of seafood a week because of all the health and nutritional benefits.
Seafood from Alaska is the perfect choice for protein that is naturally loaded with minerals, vitamins and heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
I love the mixtures of sweet and salty flavors. This recipe is great over rice, a salad or by itself. We will definitely be making this recipe more often.
