As a mom to 3 boys, wife, friend, daughter, sister and blogger I have very little down time. However, I have learned over the years that I can prioritize my day however I want to. I have chosen to make time to read every single day. It has helped me so much in feeling refreshed the rest of the day, when I make my own “self-care” a priority.
Many times this happens at naptime or right before I go to bed. First and foremost, I do make it a priority to do devotions but, there is always some other book I am reading as well. Even if it takes me 3 months or more to finish it, I make this time for myself.
So, here are my “must-reads” for this summer. These are all excellent books that you will not regret reading.
Many of you know, I like meaningful and helpful reads so, these all fit in that category.
1. Magnolia Story
This is on my list this summer and I have heard so many amazing reviews from friends about it. I love their show and stand for Christ so, I’m pretty excited.
2. Fear and Faith
This one I just finished and it has been a life-changer for me. I have felt true freedom from so many things that have stolen my joy. This is a must-read for every woman.
3. Present over Perfect
I can’t say enough good things about this book. If you want to find out how to let go of striving for perfection in various parts of life and want to live a more full and joyful life…read this!
I went through some hard times this past year with friendship and this book helped me so much in realizing my worth in Christ & also gaining wisdom in how to deal with challenging friendships in the future! Such a helpful, life changing read.
5. Kingdom Woman
This is another on my list but, the reviews are amazing and I have listened to so many messages from the author so, I’m excited to dig into this.
Take the time this summer to make yourself a priority and read one of these amazing books. I guarantee they won’t be a waste of your time! Happy Summer friends!
